Benchtop Centrifuges with Horizontal Rotors

Benchtop Centrifuges with Horizontal "Swing-Out" Rotors have rotors that are used to house tubes where separation occurs. Specifically, Horizontal "Swing-Out" Rotors "swing out" when centripetal force is applied and holds cells at a 90° angle relative to the angle of rotation. Dense materials will separate towards the angle of the centripetal force which means in swinging-bucket rotors, the pelleted material will form at the bottom of the conical centrifuge tube, while tubes processed in a fixed-angle rotor will form sedimentation on the side.
